A great thing may be about to happen in the field of substance abuse treatment. It will be a major breakthrough once it is released. It is a very simple idea and is based on the principal of the contagious disease model.
What are we talking about here?
We are talking about ANTIBODIES. Antibodies can not only fight off infections, they can also be custom made to attack other substances, like recreational drugs.
Yes, the discovery of antibodies has lead to an eradication of many diseases which were quite worrisome in the past. The Cocaine user won’t be able to get high from Cocaine with Antibodies against Cocaine already in their system. They will just waste their money. And then, vaccines can be created for other drugs of abuse. Eventually, with this advance in treatment; substance abuse and drug addiction can become a thing of the past.
