Drug Abuse Will Become a Thing of the Past-Here’s Why

A great thing may be about to happen in the field of substance abuse treatment. It will be a major breakthrough once it is released. It is a very simple idea and is based on the principal of the contagious disease model.

What are we talking about here?

We are talking about ANTIBODIES. Antibodies can not only fight off infections, they can also be custom made to attack other substances, like recreational drugs.

Yes, the discovery of antibodies has lead to an eradication of many diseases which were quite worrisome in the past. Diseases like Polio and Small Pox now are prevented with vaccinations and immunizations. What vaccinations do, are to amp up the immune system, so one’s body can fight off the diseases. The body accomplishes this task by developing Antibodies to attack and kill the offending organism.

The same thing will eventually take place involving substances of abuse. For example, there are studies now on a vaccine for Cocaine Addiction. The way the vaccine will work, is to cause the body to produce Antibodies to Cocaine. Then, if a person uses Cocaine, the Antibodies circulating in the blood stream will capture and neutralize the Cocaine, before it can go to the brain and cause the euphoric, high feeling.

The Cocaine user won’t be able to get high from Cocaine with Antibodies against Cocaine already in their system. They will just waste their money. And then, vaccines can be created for other drugs of abuse. Eventually, with this advance in treatment; substance abuse and drug addiction can become a thing of the past.
