When your production processes are running at full speed you need to have confidence that your machinery and equipment is going to endure the long hours of activity necessary to keep your business running smoothly. Any interruption can cost you money. If a part breaks in the field and the cause is corrosion or rust, it is possible that the part and other components of your equipment or machinery were not treated properly with an anti rust coating.

Companies can help prevent these scenarios from occurring by keeping their tools and machine parts protected from the debilitating effects of rust by applying coatings that prevent this type of corrosion from occurring. There are anti rust coatings available for various types of applications. With the proper coatings applied to your equipment, you can have confidence that your manufacturing and other processes will operate smoothly and without unnecessary delays.

The various types of coatings that are applicable to a number of different environments and alloys include the following:

Inorganic Zinc
Steel surfaces in general can benefit from the application of inorganic zinc coatings. These coatings provide excellent rust protection as well as saltwater protection and weather resistance. Chemical plants and refineries often use this type of anti rust coating to protect equipment and machinery components.

Epoxy Epoxy coatings are excellent for applications that require the protection of compliments that are subject to corrosion due to rust. There generally 4 to 6 mm thick, but may be applied at 8 mm in other applications that are significantly subject to the development of rust. They are also very resistant to chemical erosion.

Phosphate Coating
Often used for anti-galling, rust prevention and lubricity purposes, phosphate coating is a crystalline conversion coating manufactured through a pickling process. However, if corrosion protection is required the item to be protected must first be coated with a sealer due to the porous nature of the phosphate coating. This type of coating can be used on tin, silver, cadmium, aluminum and zinc surfaces.

With the quality anti rust coating applied to your tools, parts and other components, you can have confidence that your operations will experience minimal disruptions which can also save you money on unnecessary premature repairs and/or replacements of your parts, equipment and machinery.
