Is your manufacturing or warehouse facility still using old fashion incandescent bulbs? If so, you might be able to save a great deal of money and problems by changing over now. Going to fluorescent lighting can be highly beneficial, but it’s much easier and more cost effective in the long run to change to industrial LED lights. Here are some of the reasons to make the change soon.
Why Not Fluorescent?
Changing over to fluorescent can create several problems. For example, if you want tube type lighting you’ll need to change all the lighting fixtures and this can be a major expense, as well as very time consuming. It is possible in some cases, to retrofit with fluorescent style lights designed to fit into incandescent sockets. However, they can take up more space and LED is more efficient and longer lasting than fluorescent. Plus, fluorescent lighting is affected by cool temperatures and LED is not.
Many companies have maintenance personnel and their main job is to go through the plant, checking light bulbs and replacing them. This includes bulbs in electrical panels and control rooms also. When you decide to use industrial LED lights you can replace all of these bulbs with highly efficient, long life LED bulbs. Instead of replacing these bulbs several times a year, you’ll only have to replace them every ten years or so. This is an excellent strategy for lowering maintenance costs significantly.
Your facility may have thousands of heat producing incandescent bulbs and this is enough to raise the ambient temperature in many areas. However, this is no longer a concern when you change to industrial LED lights. These bulbs put out almost no heat and run cool to the touch. Plus, replacement is simple and easy. It should not take long to recover the money from your investment.
